Overview
Recognised as one of Antigua's long-established resorts, the all-inclusive Blue Waters Resort & Spa epitomises Caribbean charm. Continuing to attract discerning travellers, it boasts elegant interiors, welcoming staff, and high-quality dining – accompanied by family-orientated facilities such as children’s menus and complimentary activities during the school holidays. In resort, you’ll be presented with a generous array of non-motorised water sports, an on-site spa and multiple beaches and pools.
This 17-acre resort sweeps along the north-western coast of Antigua and remains the only property on Soldier’s Bay. It has access to powdery, white-sand beaches, lapped by the gentle waves of the bay, and boasts a serene and secluded feel. The property is just four and a half miles from St John’s, the island’s capital, and you can tee off on the 18-hole Cedar Valley Golf Course, three miles away. The bars, restaurants and beaches of Dickenson Bay are only two miles away, and V.C Bird International Airport is about five and a half miles from Blue Waters Resort & Spa.
The accommodation comprises a selection of rooms, suites, and penthouses. They are all elegantly appointed, with neutral colour schemes, cream tile floors and rattan or wooden furnishings. Deluxe Beachfront rooms come with a private balcony or patio, all with views of the ocean, and many rooms can interconnect, providing space suitable for families. Cove Suites offer enhanced privacy and access to an exclusively reserved infinity pool. Cove Penthouses are situated at the top of each Cove villa, affording panoramic sea views. They feature three bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, a living room, dining area and full kitchen, making them an ideal choice for groups or multigenerational families.

Other facilities
The eponymous Blue Waters Resort & Spa wraps around Soldier’s Bay, offering stunning views of the Caribbean Sea. There are three secluded beaches, lined with sunloungers and umbrellas. Complimentary, non-motorised water sports are on offer at the main beach, including sailing, kayaking, wind surfing and snorkelling.
If you prefer to lounge by the pool, there are several to choose from. A picturesque beachfront pool overlooks the shoreline and there’s a quieter adult-only pool and a family-friendly pool. Away from the water, you’ll find a floodlit tennis court, set within tropical gardens, and a fitness centre which contains modern cardiovascular and strength training equipment. The tranquil spa uses ila products and specialises in ila treatments, and you can participate in invigorating yoga, Pilates and aqua classes. Head to the tours desk to book a range of excursions or cruises.
Kids aged five and over will love the wide range of complimentary activities available all year round, from Monday to Friday. Babysitting services are also available (additional charges apply).
The resort has launched a ‘single-use plastic free journey’ in an effort to reduce plastic consumption and to help create a more sustainable future. The bathroom toiletries used are by Neem Avenue, set in reusable bio-polymer bottles. Guests will also be given a complimentary, reusable water bottle on arrival, which can be refilled all around the resort.
Dining information
The Palm Restaurant is situated in the tropical gardens, overlooking the Caribbean Sea. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner each day. Enjoy your full a la carte breakfast on the terrace, whether you opt for pastries, fresh fruit, smoothies, or popular local fare – such as fried plantain. Evenings offer an a la carte menu which changes daily, with one evening dedicated to a Caribbean barbecue. There’s also a live cooking station which gives you the chance to sample international flavours each night.
For the ultimate gourmet waterfront dining experience, the Cove Restaurant’s unique clifftop position provides some of the most breathtaking views to be found in the Caribbean. It is now widely considered to be one of Antigua’s top dining experiences. This intimate venue opens for dinner up to four times weekly and features a creative menu which combines Caribbean and French cuisines. The Reef is a casual beachside dining venue, which is open for lunch and occasionally dinner. Enjoy delicious salads, flat breads, burgers and ceviche, overlooking the beach and pool.
With three bars and lounges, you can easily order refreshing drinks all around the resort. Veronica’s Bar is located by the main pool and is home to daily sundowners until 18:30, while the Caribbean-themed Pelican Bar is just steps away from the beach, offering cool cocktails and evening entertainment most evenings.
