A flight from London to Palma takes approximately two hours and 30 minutes.
Majorca is very popular over the summer months, so you’ll often find flights are cheaper from October to April. Autumn is a great time to visit Majorca if you’re travelling on a budget, with temperatures still in the high 20s, but the island and its beaches are usually very peaceful.

Majorca is a destination that can be tailored to any budget. Palma has a wide variety of restaurants, bars and hotels, ranging from exclusive five-star accommodation and Michelin-starred restaurants to simple, unpretentious establishments off the beaten track. To save even more, visit one of the island’s markets to pick up supplies for a low-cost picnic on the beach. The Santa Catalina market in the capital sells local produce and is open every day of the week except Sunday. Pollensa market runs on Sunday while Inca market takes place on Thursday. You can also find souvenirs and local, hand-made products to take home.
Once you land at Palma Airport, you’re just a 20-minute taxi ride into Palma’s city centre. There are also regular buses from the terminal which take you to the city’s central transport hub, and from there, you’ll find several bus routes as well as train lines to nearby towns and villages.
Palma and Pollensa can both be explored easily on foot, or you can ride the cycle route that takes visitors along the seafront past Playa de Palma.
