The UK’s most-awarded tea for taste is flying high
British Airways welcomes award-winning family-owned British brand Birchall as its new tea provider.
Serving almost 40 million cups of tea every year, we have gone to great lengths to ensure the right choice for our customers – with Birchall chosen for its performance in blind taste testing, as well as its British roots and sustainability credentials
Birchall tea will be served on board from 1 May – its Great Rift English Breakfast, the UK’s most-awarded tea for taste*, will feature in the new BA line-up, as well as Earl Grey, Peppermint, Camomile and others.
*Great Rift has won a prestigious Great Taste Award for 14 consecutive years and received Gold at the 2024 Leafies Awards, the only dedicated tea award in the UK.

British Airways has become the world's first airline to serve prestige cuvée English sparkling wine on board.
In an exciting upgrade to our award-winning wine lists, we've partnered with pioneering English sparkling wine houses including Nyetimber, Gusbourne and Sugrue South Downs to offer a new range of sparkling options in our First and Club World cabins.
Among the four new additions available to customers travelling in First is 1086 by Nyetimber Rosé 2014.
For Club World customers, we’ll be serving Digby Fine English’s Brut NV over the coming months. In July, look out for Gusbourne’s 2019 Vintage Rosé and Hattingley Valley’s Blanc de Noirs in October.
