How does it work?

You can link any one Nectar account to one British Airways Club account or vice versa. You can link to a friend or family members account but can only ever be linked to one account.

How do I link my account?

You can link your accounts by following the link from either this page or the Nectar website.

How many accounts can I link to?

You can link one Nectar account to one British Airways Club account or vice versa. You can change the accounts you have linked up to a maximum of four times per year.

How will I know my accounts have been successfully linked?

You'll receive a confirmation email after you've linked your accounts. You can also check your linked status on the Nectar website or the Avios website.

How do I convert points?

Once you’ve linked your accounts, you can convert points between accounts by following the link from either this page or the Nectar website.

How can I convert points automatically?

You can choose to set-up auto-conversion. Every week we'll convert your entire balance, in your chosen direction, up to the automatic exchange limit. Balances will be converted in increments of 400 Nectar points or 400 Avios.

If you signed up to automatically convert Avios to Nectar points before 16 February 2021, then the conversion will continue to be processed on a weekly basis, with up to 10 days delay before points are credited to the Nectar account.

What are the minimum number of points I can convert?

Avios are converted in increments of 400 Avios and Nectar points in increments of 400. The minimum number of points you can exchange are 400 Avios and 400 Nectar points.

What are the maximum number of points I can convert manually?

You can convert up to a maximum of 50,000 Avios or 80,000 Nectar points per calendar month.

What are the maximum number of points I can exchange automatically?

We’ll automatically convert up to a maximum of 25,200 Avios or 40,000 Nectar points per quarter in a calendar year.

I've opted in to automatically convert my points, can I change the direction I send them?

Yes you can. Just cancel your original auto-conversion, and then re-join changing the direction you wish to convert.

I automatically convert my points, can I also make manual conversions?

Yes, as long as they're within the quarterly and monthly limits as outlined above. The limits are independent of one another.

I want to convert my Avios to Nectar points, what information do I need to provide to convert?

You'll need to provide the date of birth and email address associated with your British Airways Club account.

If the date of birth and email address are missing from your account, you can update these manually by logging in to your account.

I've manually converted my Nectar points to Avios, how long will it take for the points to convert?

Immediately.

I've manually converted my Avios to Nectar points, how long will it take for the points to convert?

You'll see Avios debited from your British Airways Club account when you request your Avios to Nectar conversion, and you'll see the Nectar points credited to your account up to 10 days later. Caps/allowances will apply on the day the order is submitted.

I automatically convert my points from Nectar to Avios, when will I receive my Avios?

No, any member can link.

I'm a Nectar secondary card holder, can I link to my British Airways Club account?

Yes, any account holder can link – but each Nectar card can only be linked to one British Airways Club account. Therefore, each cardholder must link to a different British Airways Club account.

When will my bonus points be credited to my account?

This is dependent on independent campaign Terms and Conditions.

Where else can I collect Nectar points or Avios?

You can collect Nectar points with any other Nectar collection partner. Visit the Nectar website for collection partners. You can collect Avios with any other Avios collection partner. See our collecting Avios section.

Can I use my Avios in Sainsbury’s stores?

No, you can’t use Avios in Sainsbury’s stores, unless of course you’ve converted to Nectar points.

I can’t remember which British Airways Club account or Nectar account I linked to

The last four digits of the account you’re linked to will feature in the Nectar email you received when you linked. Your British Airways Club membership number will also be displayed when logged in on the Nectar or Avios website or app.

My converted Nectar points have left my account but haven't been credited to my British Airways Club account

For both manual and automatic conversions, points are usually converted within minutes. However, you may have received a ‘pending message’ when converting. Please keep checking your British Airways Club account or Nectar account to see if your points have been correctly added.

If it’s been longer than 24 hours and the points are not showing, please contact us on 0344 811 0811 for Nectar and raise a missing Avios form for British Airways.

My converted Avios have left my account but haven't been credited to my Nectar account

Allow 10 days for the points conversion. If it’s been longer than 10 days and the points aren't showing, please contact us on 0344 811 0811 for Nectar and raise a missing Avios form for British Airways.

I've changed my mind and would like to get my Nectar points back (and vice versa)

You can simply complete a manual conversion in the opposite direction to get your points back - so long as you’re within your monthly manual exchange limit.

If your Nectar points have been converted without your permission, please contact Nectar on 0344 811 0811.

If it’s your Avios that have been converted without your permission, please contact The British Airways Club.

Terms and Conditions

  1. To be eligible for this offer, Customers must be at least 18 years old and be either a member of The British Airways Club and/or a Nectar account holder (“Eligible Customers” or in the singular, an "Eligible Customer”). Eligible Customers must link their British Airways Club account to a Nectar account or their Nectar account to a British Airways Club account, in order to convert their Avios into Nectar points or their Nectar points into Avios.
  2. To link a British Airways Club account to a Nectar account or vice versa, Eligible Customers must visit either the Avios website or the Nectar website and select "Link your account". For accounts to successfully link the names on both accounts must fully match.
  3. Only one Nectar account can be linked to one British Airways Club account at any given time and vice versa, providing the names on both accounts fully match.
  4. A British Airways Club account can be linked and unlinked to any Nectar account a maximum of 4 times in a calendar year. A Nectar account can be linked and unlinked to any British Airways Club account a maximum of 4 times in a calendar year.
  5. To convert their Nectar points into Avios or their Avios into Nectar points, Eligible Customers must visit either the Avios website or the Nectar website and have a Nectar account and a British Airways Club account linked. Eligible Customers can manually convert their Nectar points to Avios or vice versa by selecting “Convert your points”. Eligible Customers can also choose to auto-convert their Nectar points to Avios or vice versa by selecting “Opt in to automatic conversion”. The conversion of points from Avios to Nectar will require date of birth and email validation.
  6. A minimum of 400 Avios are required to make a conversion into Nectar points. Avios can only be converted into Nectar points in increments of 400 Avios. Eligible Customers will accrue 400 Nectar points for every 400 Avios converted.
  7. A minimum of 400 Nectar points are required to make a conversion into Avios. Nectar points can only be converted into Avios in increments of 400 Nectar points. Eligible Customers will accrue 250 Avios for every 400 Nectar points converted.
  8. Upon conversion, Avios can only be awarded to the Club account that the Nectar account has been linked to, and Nectar points can only be awarded to the Nectar account that the Club account has been linked to.
  9. Avios will be immediately credited to the Eligible Customers’ British Airways Club account when Nectar points are manually converted into Avios.
  10. Avios will be credited on a weekly basis to the Eligible Customers’ British Airways Club account when Nectar points are automatically converted into Avios.
  11. Nectar points will be credited to the Eligible Customer's Nectar account within 12 days, when Avios are manually converted to Nectar points. Or, on a weekly basis to the Eligible Customer's British Airways Club account when Avios are automatically converted into Nectar points.
  12. An Eligible Customer may manually convert a maximum of 80,000 Nectar points or 50,000 Avios per calendar month. The cap is separate for both debiting and crediting (e.g. 80,000 Nectar points debit and 80,000 Nectar points credit permitted per calendar month).
  13. An Eligible Customer may automatically convert a maximum of 40,000 Nectar points or 25,200 Avios per calendar quarter. 
  14. The manual and automatic points conversion caps are independent of one another.
  15. Once Nectar points are converted to Avios, they'll be awarded in the Eligible Customer’s British Airways Club account, and The British Airways Club Terms and Conditions apply. Avios are issued by and redeemed with Avios Group (AGL) Limited in accordance with Avios Terms and Conditions. For full details please visit ba.com.
  16. British Airways PLC reserves the right to remove any Avios and close any British Airways Club account that British Airways PLC, Avios Group (AGL) Limited or Nectar believes has obtained or redeemed Avios in breach of these Terms and Conditions or in breach of The British Airways Club Terms and Conditions.
  17. Avios are not redeemable for cash.
  18. Avios Group (AGL) Limited or British Airways PLC are not liable for redemptions made through Nectar.
  19. For missing Avios queries, please contact The British Airways Club customer service through our online form stating Nectar as the non-airline partner.
  20. Once Avios are converted to Nectar points, they'll be awarded in the Eligible Customer’s Nectar account, Nectar Terms and Conditions apply. Nectar points are issued and redeemed in accordance with Nectar Terms and Conditions.
  21. Nectar is not liable for the flight, accommodations, or any other rewards redemptions made through The British Airways Club.
  22. For missing Nectar points please contact Nectar.
  23. Avios Group (AGL) Limited and Nectar reserve the right to change or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without notice or liability to ourselves.
  24. Any personal information you supply will be used by British Airways PLC in accordance with its Privacy Policy, by Nectar in accordance with its Privacy Policy and by Avios Group (AGL) Limited in accordance with its Privacy Policy.
  25. When linking your accounts your personal data will be shared between British Airways PLC, Avios Group (AGL) Limited and Nectar to facilitate the transfer of Avios and / or Nectar points, and for marketing and analytical purposes. Receive a 25% bonus on all Nectar to Avios AOI exchanges and 15% on all manual exchanges.

1. To be eligible for this offer, customers must be at least 18 years old and be either a member of British Airways Club (“BAC”) and a Nectar account holder (“Eligible Participants” or in the singular, an "Eligible Participant”). Eligible Participants must link their BAC account to a Nectar account or their Nectar account to a BAC account, in order to convert their Nectar points into Avios.

2. A minimum of 400 Nectar points are required to make a single conversion into Avios. Nectar points can only be converted into Avios in increments of 400 Nectar points. Eligible Participants will accrue a 15% bonus on all manual exchanges and 25% bonus on AOI exchanges made from Nectar points into Avios from 11 April 2025 until 30 April 2025.

3. To qualify for the Avios bonus award the Eligible Participant must have completed a minimum of 1x AOI (automatic opt in) or 1x manual exchange from Nectar into their BAC account during the stated promotional period.

4. The bonus award is as stated and no cash or other alternative will be offered.

5. Avios will be credited to members British Airways Club accounts within 28 days from the promotion end date.

6. British Airways is in no way liable for the reproduction or indirect access via third party web sites or home page access or where any reproduction of the information relating to this bonus misstates or omits any of the information or terms and conditions connected with the initiative.

7. Personal data will be taken where necessary from all customers involved but shall be limited to those details reasonably necessary for the administration of the bonus awards.

8. British Airways’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. British Airways reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or amend without notice the terms of this promotion in the event of major catastrophe, war, strike, earthquake or any actual or anticipated or alleged breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other circumstance beyond British Airways' control.

9. British Airways reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify or terminate any bonus awarded to any individual it finds to be tampering with the award process or the operation of the partnership or the operation of the event, or to be acting in violation of these Terms and Conditions or any promotion related to the event. Any attempt by any person to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of the bonus campaign may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, British Airways reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law.

10. British Airways’ failure to enforce any term of these Terms and Conditions shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.

11. Except as otherwise expressly set out in these Terms and Conditions, British Airways and its affiliates shall not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of their respective obligations that are caused by events outside of their reasonable control. British Airways’ total liability for all claims arising out of or in connection with an entry for the bonus award by an Eligible members shall be limited to the value of the awards made to the Eligible Participant. British Airways and its affiliates shall not be liable under or in connection with these Terms and Conditions or otherwise in relation to the bonus award for any special, indirect or consequential losses incurred by an Eligible member. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall operate to exclude or limit British Airways’ or its affiliates’ liability for death or personal injury resulting from British Airways’ or its affiliates’ negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation or for any other liability which may not be excluded or limited by law.

12. These Terms and Conditions apply to every Eligible member entering the campaign with no exceptions.

13. If any of these Terms and Conditions is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remainder of these Terms and Conditions shall remain valid and enforceable.

14. Promotional materials form part of these terms and conditions. These Terms and Conditions will prevail in the event of any conflict between these and the promotional materials.

15. This campaign is governed by English law and is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.

Data partnership

When you link your accounts, we share data from your British Airways Club account with, and receive data from, Nectar to enable Avios to Nectar points conversion. We also share information about you and your activities within The British Airways Club, and receive information about you and your activities within the Nectar programme. This includes what you collect and spend Avios and Nectar points on, such as travel and shopping.

That information will be used in accordance with the Privacy Polices of British Airways and Nectar.

Personalised offers based on your British Airways Club and Nectar data

The data shared between British Airways and Nectar will be used to help us tailor marketing that is relevant to you. For example, if you’ve got a trip coming up, Nectar might send you an offer for all your holiday essentials.

We’ll also share data for other uses, including when necessary to facilitate your Avios or Nectar points conversions, service your account and protect against fraud.
