Overview
The Chedi Muscat is a stunning resort, bordered by the sparkling waters of the Gulf of Oman and the natural beauty of the Hajar mountains. It offers one of Muscat’s largest spas, the longest pool in the Middle East, a 370-metre private stretch of beach, six restaurants and 24-hour in-room dining.
Sat on the northern coast of Oman, the hotel is within four miles of Muscat’s centre and Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque. Royal Opera House Muscat is just over five miles east from the hotel, and a further ten miles will land you at Mutrah Souq, the Corniche and The National Museum of Oman. Muscat International Airport is nine miles away.
Throughout the property, expect a modern take on traditional Omani architecture. Moucharabieh screens, towering ceilings and archways fill the collection of white buildings – many adorned with domed roofs, while water gardens and palms surround. Accommodation features a more minimalist take on the design, with white walls and furnishings contrasted with dark woods. Deluxe Rooms offer more space than the Serai Rooms, and are located in the Chedi Wing, surrounded by the water gardens. Both offer the option to upgrade to a room with a furnished balcony, while Deluxe Rooms also offer a Club upgrade, granting additional benefits including a complimentary minibar, airport transfers and Club Lounge access. You’ll find the most luxurious stay in a Chedi Club Suite, with almost twice the space of a Serai Room, Club benefits and the closest proximity to its lounge, a private terrace or balcony, a separate bedroom, living room and open-plan bathroom with a sunken terrazzo bathtub. All room options feature luxurious Acqua di Parma toiletries.

Three pools include the Middle East’s longest, lined by palms and dark loungers, and the black-bottomed, family-friendly Serai pool – shaded by a series of transparent awnings. The adult-only Chedi pool overlooks the beach, which is a private stretch lined with white sun loungers and shades.
At one of Muscat’s largest spas, choose from a generous range of treatments incorporating aspects of aromatherapy, ayurveda and herbalism. Signature treatments include The Chedi Oriental Ritual, involving an aromatherapy foot polish, a jade massage, facial, reflexology, body polish and your choice of bathing ceremony. Beneath the spa, a 700 m2 Health Club houses modern cardio equipment, weights and Pilates equipment.
Grab a luxury souvenir at the boutique – it’s filled with local handmade ornaments and jewellery, as well as art and leisurewear.
Dining information
Drawing on influences from Western, East Asian, Middle Eastern and Indian cuisines, The Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, light afternoon bites and dinner – under dramatic Omani arches. Beside the Serai pool, the Serai Pool Cabana offers Asian inspired bites, from murgh dum biryani to nasi goreng wok-fried rice, as well as sandwiches and pizzas. The Chedi Pool Cabana, beside the Chedi pool, offers Mediterranean cuisine including tapas – alongside lounge tunes and gulf views, while the Long Pool Cabana specialises in sushi and sashimi. For private lounge vibes, choose the Lobby Lounge, where you’ll also find afternoon tea and sweet treats. Open from mid-October to April, The Beach Club provides beach views and seafood, accompanied by an extensive wine list.
