The flight from London to Doha (DOH) takes around 7 hours. Doha is two hours ahead of London in summer and three hours ahead in the winter.
We fly to direct to Hamad International Airport from London Heathrow.
Visit Doha in the cooler season, from November to March, when temperatures drop between 23°C and 18°C. The summer months, from May to October, are hot and humid, with average temperatures climbing from 35°C to 41°C. Some days in July have been known to reach 50°C.
Doha’s airport is located less than five miles east of the city centre. For maximum ease, ride the state-of-the-art, automated Doha Metro Red Line straight to the centre of the city. Or, choose from the fleets of turquoise taxis and the waiting limousines ready to drive you into and around the city. Local buses are another efficient way to get around.
The cultural calendar is blossoming, with venues such as the Aspire Dome (the world’s largest multi-purpose venue of its kind) hosts sporting activities and international events, in addition to Villaggio – the most sought after destination in Qatar for top of the line luxury brands. While Doha’s Exhibition Centre, Katara Drama Theatre and even a Film Institute are good starting points for a taste of Middle Eastern art, music and film.
