Overview
Resort Cala di Falco is a charming, boutique property, located in Cannigione on Sardinia’s north eastern coastline. This family-friendly hotel offers a large pool, two restaurants overlooking the Gulf of Arzachena and spacious accommodation. There’s an outdoor playground, tennis court and beach volleyball court, as well as a fitness area with trail.
The hotel has a villa feel to it, with low-rise stone buildings set within well-tended fragrant gardens. Winding pathways lead you around the property and on to the pretty beach opposite, where sun loungers and parasols are free of charge to Cala di Falco guests. Hop on the hotel’s shuttle service to visit the beautiful beach of Mannena, boasting crystal clear shallow waters and a long stretch of sand. The lovely village of Cannigione is under a mile from the hotel, dotted with Mediterranean pastel-coloured buildings as well as cafes, restaurants, shops, and a nightly market. At the port you can book a boat tour of the Maddalena Archipelago, stopping at the Manto della Madonna (Cloak of the Virgin Mary), the Island of Caprera and Costa Smeralda. The hotel is under 20 miles from Olbia Airport.
The rooms and suites are distinctly Mediterranean in decor, where walls are painted in bright white, offset by the pastel pink balcony area. Tiled flooring is complemented by peppermint green soft furnishings, while traditional Sardinian wrought-iron furniture adds to the Costa Smeralda style. Rooms are centrally located close to the hotel’s main facilities and have a balcony or terrace with chairs and a small table. Upgrade to a suite to benefit from the added space of a lounge area.

The hotel offers a large swimming pool, surrounded by a paved deck and furnished with parasols and sun loungers. The local beach is situated just a few metres from the hotel, across the road. Or you can take the free shuttle bus to the beach of Mannena. For kids, there’s an outdoor playground and babysitting is available at an extra charge. Sports facilities include a tennis court and beach volleyball court, plus there’s an outdoor fitness area overlooking the sea and a fitness trail.
Wi-Fi is free around the hotel and in the rooms, there are also a number of charging stations for electric vehicles. Car and bicycle rentals can also be arranged (all at an extra charge). In addition, you can use the L’Incantu Wellness Centre at the nearby Hotel Capo d’Orso (additional charges apply for entrance and treatments) or play golf on the hotel’s course (for an additional charge).
Dining information
Buffet breakfast is served on the terrace of La Poiana restaurant which is located in front of the swimming pool. Hot and cold options are available, including omelettes and crepes cooked to order. At lunchtime, there’s a simpler menu of salads, pizza, pasta, sandwiches and more. In the evening, dinner features a wide menu of excellent Mediterranean and local Sardinian specialties. With a reservation and an extra charge, try the hotel’s fine dining a la carte restaurant, Martin Pescatore. From the terrace, spectacular sea views over the Gulf of Arzachena are best enjoyed here.
