3HB Faro is a luxurious property located in the pedestrianised area of downtown Faro, along Portugal’s southwestern coastline. This design-led city hotel boasts a superb spa, as well as two pools – including a rooftop infinity pool, two restaurants, a bar and elegant rooms, all equipped with modern facilities to ensure your stay is comfortable.
The position of this hotel couldn’t be better. It’s situated in the beautiful Algarve region, around 500 metres from the city centre of Faro. Meander the cobbled streets of this distinctly Portuguese walled Old Town, admire the architectural splendour of Arco da Vila or take a boat trip to one of the nearby natural islands with stunning, unspoiled beaches. Further away, and named as one of Portugal’s seven natural wonders, is Ria Formosa. It’s a tidal lagoon, stretching for nearly 37 miles, home to an impressive array of marine and bird wildlife, picture-perfect beaches and walking trails. Faro International Airport is less than five miles from the hotel.
The contemporary design is also reflected in the well-equipped rooms. Traditional pieces are combined with sophisticated teak furniture, complemented by soft furnishings and bed runners in vibrant blue, ochre or green. All rooms have a smart TV with cable and satellite channels, Nespresso coffee machine, Marshall Bluetooth speakers and Molton Brown toiletries in the bathroom. There’s a balcony to enjoy, plus you have free access to the spa area and gym.

The hotel’s hidden gem is the stunning rooftop infinity swimming pool, surrounded by tasteful loungers and parasols. There’s an attractive on-site spa which features a sauna, Turkish bath, sensory showers with four different experiences and a heated pool with relaxing water jet massages. You can choose from a variety of massages and treatments or head to the 24-hour gym which offers an impressive range of treadmills, bodybuilding machines, exercise mats, wall bars and weights – plus kids have access to a playground.
Dining information
Next to the lobby is Forno Nero which is open for buffet breakfast and a la carte dinner service. For traditional Algarve dishes that reflect the flavours and culture of the area, head to the hotel’s rooftop signature restaurant, Habito. Snacks, fresh juices and cocktails are served at H.Bar, which boasts fantastic views over the city and the Ria Formosa. In addition, room service operates 24-hours a day.
Upgrade to half board to enjoy a three course meal (starter, main and dessert) at Forno Nero. A choice of dishes are highlighted on the main menu. Children from ages three to 12 have a specific menu to choose from too. Please note drinks are not included and this offer is not applicable to room service.
Additional information
The spa is available from 09:00 to 13:00 for guests over the age of four years old, and from 14:00 to 19:00 for guests over the age of 13 years old. Access to the gym is only permitted for guests over the age of 16 years old.
The underground public car park is 120 metres from the hotel, at an additional EUR 15 per day, subject to reservation and availability.
Forno Nero restaurant is open for breakfast daily from 07:00 to 10:30. Dinner is served daily from 18:00 to 22:30. Habito restaurant is open for lunch daily from 12:30 to 15:30.
