Positioned directly on a palm-lined white sand beach, Majestic Elegance Punta Cana offers dedicated family-friendly and adult-only areas. Sat 16 miles north of Punta Cana's centre, this resort is perched on Bavaro Beach, on the eastern coast of the Dominican Republic. It’s next to and shares a collection of facilities with sister resorts, Majestic Colonial Punta Cana and Majestic Mirage Punta Cana, which are located on the adjoining Caribbean Street. Punta Blanca Golf Course is roughly two miles south of the resort and Downtown Punta Cana is ten miles away. Punta Cana International Airport is 17 miles away.
Accommodation is split into two distinct sections. The family section welcomes all ages, while the Elegance Club is for ages 18 and over. You can choose a Junior Suite with an indoor Jacuzzi that sits just next to the balcony doors in either area. Otherwise, book your stay in a One Bedroom Suite also with an indoor Jacuzzi or a Majestic Junior Suite with access to a shared swim-up pool that winds around the resort buildings. An additional family option includes the Colonial Junior Suite with an indoor and outdoor Jacuzzi. Alternatively, the Elegance Club houses exclusive Swim-up Suites and Ocean View Suites. All feature neutral decor with pops of purple or red, dark wood furniture and four-poster beds.

Other facilities
The vast 300 m2 main pool meanders through the resort, leading towards the beachfront. On the powdery sands, you’ll find rows of sun loungers with thatched umbrellas, and there's an adult-only area, too. Additional adult-only facilities include an exclusive pool for Elegance Club guests with padded sun loungers, Bali beds and bar service, and the adult-only lounge serving hors d’oeuvres and drinks.
On Caribbean Street, between Majestic Elegance Punta Cana and neighbouring resort Majestic Colonial Punta Cana, younger guests can explore the kids’ club and splash park. It features two swimming pools, one with a lighthouse, the other with a pirate area, slides and a popcorn machine for an on-the-go snack. Adults will also find Coco’s Night Club and the Sports Bar here – with drinks are included on the all-inclusive plan – as well as a casino.
Shared with sister resort Majestic Mirage Punta Cana, the spa features a beauty salon, wet area with eight different showers, a sauna, Turkish bath, Jacuzzi and a treatment centre for a variety of massages and facials. Th ere’s also a two-floor gym with cardio and weight training equipment, as well as Pilates and spinning facilities on the upper floor.
Dining information
The resort’s main restaurant, Flavours, dishes up a tempting buffet of international dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can also start your day at See & Sea, where the menu features fresh seafood, or head here when hunger strikes at lunchtime. In the evenings, reserve a seat at 9 Doors’ teppanyaki station, or visit the sushi bar. Dine on an Argentinian-style terrace at steakhouse, El Asadito, or indulge in Italian favourites at Il Botaccio. For something extra special, reserve a table at adult-only Limited Gourmand, where an international menu is accompanied by a live pianist.
A total of 11 bars around the resort mean refreshments are never far. A pool bar, swim-up bar and beach bar provide cooling drinks when you’re kicking back in the sun. There’s a piano bar in the upper lobby, Bar Plaza is found in the main square and the Theatre Bar and Sports Bar are located on Caribbean Street.
If you’re staying in Elegance Club accommodation, you can enjoy an exclusive breakfast and lunch at Il Botaccio and have access to a generous range of exclusive adult-only bars – including two pool bars, a swim-up bar and the Sunset and Sunrise lounges.
