The Dig Site is a lively pool area, with Mayan-themed ruins. It is home to the Lost City of Cibola Pool, which is dominated by a pyramid structure with stone steps and a 37-metre-long water slide which features spitting jaguars. There’s also a separate hot tub, as well as a small kids’ pool with splash fountains. The Dig Site further offers a sandy volleyball court, an archaeological-themed playground, and the Iguana Arcade – where you can play ping pong, pinball, air hockey and video games.

Elsewhere in the resort, there are three quiet leisure pools and a scenic jogging trail which wraps around the shores of the 22-acre Lago Dorado. If you have time, take advantage of the La Vida Health Club facilities, which include a fitness centre, full-service spa, and a salon. You can also enjoy access to a second fitness centre in Gran Destino Tower, which is equipped with modern Technogym machines. Organised fitness classes include Aqua Fitness Blast, Pilates, and yoga.

Use of the Walt Disney World Resort Transportation System is included in your stay, so you can easily visit nearby Walt Disney World Resort theme parks and water parks. In the evenings, unwind around the campfire and take part in various activities, or watch popular Disney films at complimentary outdoor screenings.

El Mercado de Coronado is a quick-service restaurant which offers American and international fare such as pancakes, omelettes, French toast, breakfast burritos and child-friendly options – including Mickey Mouse waffles. A selection of salads, hot sandwiches, grilled items and desserts are also available on the go.

The laid-back Rix Sports Bar & Grill is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Serving classic bar food and local draft beers, this sports lounge features over 30 TVs so you can view sporting events. Otherwise, enjoy the picturesque lakefront setting of Three Bridges Bar & Grill, where you can order shared plates, sandwiches, and salads throughout the day.

Maya Grill specialises in nuevo Latino cuisines, and Toledo – Tapas, Steak & Seafood is an intimate rooftop restaurant which serves Spanish-inspired cuisine. Dahlia Lounge is another rooftop venue, serving premium wines, handcrafted cocktails, and small, tapas-style dishes.

When spending time by the pool, try refreshing beverages and snacks from Siestas Cantina or amble to the Laguna Bar which boasts a tempting menu of frozen drinks and signature cocktails – including the Mojito Frambuesa and Coronado Crush. You can also relish speciality espresso drinks at Barcelona Lounge. At Cafe Rix, take your pick from an array of coffees, smoothies, pastries, yoghurts, cakes, and ice creams.
