Allegro Playacar is ideal for those seeking a family-friendly, no-frills all-inclusive resort delivering good value for money. Situated close to the beach this resort is a great base to explore all that Playa del Carmen and the Riviera Maya has to offer. Facilities include a large swimming pool, an on-site spa, four restaurants, three bars, a sports bar and a range of water sports. This resort can get busy, so when it comes to service expect a slower ‘mañana’ pace.

This resort is situated on a beautiful stretch of stunning white, sandy beach, just three miles from Playa del Carmen – for great shops, restaurants and nightlife – and six miles from Playa Punta Esmeralda. The Mayan walled city of Tulum and its archaeological site are a 50 minute drive from the resort. Cancun International Airport is 37 miles from the resort.

Guest rooms are situated in 38 Polynesian-style villas featuring simple furnishings and basic amenities – all have a balcony or terrace with a hammock. Premium rooms are located closer to the swimming pools and enjoy an ocean or pool view, more modern bathrooms and walk-in wardrobes.

Dining information

The main restaurant, Topaz, serves an international buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Light snacks, hot dogs and burgers are available at the Snack Bar and further snacks are on offer 24-hours a day at the lobby bar. Lunch and dinner are also provided at La Pizzeria. For a la carte dining, choose from Italian, Mexican and Asian cuisine.

Please note that formal dress code is required in a la carte restaurants.

There are four bars to choose from including the Pool Bar, perfect for a refreshing drink or the Ambar Bar which is located next to the theatre. The Cristal Lobby Bar and Disco Bar Lounge are both open until the early hours.
