Riu Palace Maldivas is a modern resort on the private island of Kedhigandu. It’s host to a 24-hour all-inclusive plan, an infinity pool with a swim-up bar and the stunning white beaches and clear seas that the Maldives are known for. You’ll have access to the neighbouring Riu Atoll resort, and its facilities, too.
Located in the Dhaalu Atoll, in the centre of the Maldives archipelago, the resort has access to sister island, Maafushi, and its resort, Riu Atoll, via a walkway. You can reach Riu Palace Maldivas via a domestic flight from Velana International Airport to Dhaalu Airport on Kudahuvadhoo Island, followed by a speedboat transfer to Kedhigandu Island.
This contemporary resort consists of white buildings connected by illuminated concrete walkways. Accommodation is decked out with walnut-effect furniture and headboards with recessed palm-print artwork. Walls are white and stone and leafy-green accents ensure the vibe is inviting. Junior Suites are located on land – some by the beach, while Overwater Suites are perched atop the sea and feature semi-open bathrooms, direct sea access and some even have private pools.

The resort’s setting is encircled by a picturesque private beach and crystal-clear waters, lined with sun loungers. The main pool sits beside the beach, overlooking the sea and is linked to a swim-up bar. Bordered by a tiled pool deck, it also has sunken sun beds for keeping cool while kicking back.
Next door at Riu Atoll, you can also access the RiuFit fitness area and enjoy water sports including kayaks, pedaloes, stand up paddle boards, snorkelling and scuba diving. You can also catch live music and DJ sunset sessions several times a week, or wind down with a treatment at Renova spa. For younger guests, RiuLand kids’ club, offers activities, a pool and a playground.
Dining information
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided at the main restaurant, Palm, offering a varied buffet with live cooking stations, vegetarian options, twice-weekly themed buffets and fun fish-themed decor. For a la carte dining, reserve a table at Yu Hi for Japanese cuisine or Krystal for a fusion experience. Head over to Riu Atoll to dine at the Steakhouse or Sofia, the Italian buffet restaurant. Snacks are available from a selection of bars at both properties, including the Riu Palace Maldivas’ Paradise pool bar and Riu Atoll’s lounge bar and sports bar.
